VIRTUAL CSR REFRESHER

OBJECTIVE
Section 135 of the Companies Act 2013, which came into effect from April 1st 2014,created a global precedent by making CSR mandatory in our country. Over the past six years, India Inc has responded favourably with an approximate annual spend of rupees fifteen thousand crores. The Implementing Agencies, on their part, have performed exceedingly well.
The Government on its part, has been rolling out amendments, the most recent of which, that has been gazetted on 22.01.2021. Several important changes have been notified, including a registration for all IAs. This event, mentored by Mr Nikhil Pant,will serve to highlight all aspects of changes, its intent, and also guide in the registration of the IAs.

Nikhil Pant has played a key role from government side in formulation and nation- wide rollout of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) asper Section 135, Companies Act 2013 – Legislation,Rules, Policy, Strategy, Compliance (Accounting,Audit, Taxation, Reporting); he also specializes inCSR Grant Management, Monitoring & Evaluation Frameworks, Impact Assessment, Project Management etc., and is currently involved in“Compliance to Impact with Sustainability”advising to governments, corporates, NGOs and Academia on CSR and Sustainable Development.”
Under Nikhil’s leadership, effective and outcome-based CSR and Sustainable Development projects have been undertaken at government, corporate,institutional and civil society level.
