Rotary Club of Madras Central is building an integrated township for Irula tribe with 64 houses, roads, water supply system, sewage discharge system, lighting, livestock, co-operative society, community hall etc. The families are under extreme poverty and live in thatched houses. We will not only be providing them new houses, but handhold them till they are fully accustomed to the new environment, support them for maintenance, make them self sustainable by providing means for income, education support for children etc.
As of now 70% of the project is completed. We require close to 200 Lakhs to complete the project.
Rotary Club of Madras Central is an NGO with 38 years of impeccable track record. We have executed and maintaining several long terms project like the TTK VHS Madras Central Blood Bank at Taramani, Margaret Sidney Madras Central Hospital at Nanganallur, Madras Central Vivekananda School at Sivanvoil (CBSE Standard school in a remote location with over 1000 Students).
