We wish to bring to your kind information that we are a registered Trust and Implementing social development project since 2006.

At present we are running a tailoring centre and providing tailoring training for women. Apart from that we are organizing Self-help groups and LIC micro insurance.

Herewith I am submitting project proposal for tailoring training for 30 women for 3 months period.

Kindly support our organization to implement the programme and help the rural poor women to get regular employment and economic development programme.

PROJECT PROPOSAL

2. Title of the Proposed Project:  Women Empowerment through Tailoring Training

4. Rationale for the Proposed Project

 

 Every year number of women are completing their high school, higher secondary school and graduates. Among them 30 % women are per suing higher studies and remaining women are in their houses and most of them are unemployed. Apart from this number of students dropped out because of their marriage and economic condition of the family.

 

At present there is a lot of demand for tailors in Textile Industries.  If we give vocational training for the educated women really it will help the women to get employment and they can improve their economic condition.

 
5. Project Goals and Objectives

      Objective 1: To empower and build skills of 30 poor women in tailoring.

Objective 2 : To enhance self employment and self reliance among the poor women.In the project area where poverty remains a mile –stone over the necks of rural women despite of hard working creative with their hands,intelligent and forward looking.Thus as a poverty alleviation endeaver,this project to support such women.


6. Project Strategy/ Listing of Project Activities

 Outline of the project:

 

 We will do 2 batches for 30 women (15 women in each batch).  Thus a total of 30 ladies to be trained in the tailoring skills.

 

 This vocational training is designed for a period of 3 months for 30 women in order to create job opportunities for them and also with a view that they could contribute to the national building program at large.

 

The training will be conducted both in the classrooms in the training centre and practical work. Our centre has qualified and experienced personnel to impart the required training.

 

 Several distinguished organizations/agencies and individuals will also be invited for giving lectures and talks.

 

For training, we are having sewing machines /wooden tables and frames, some furnitures, raw material etc.

 

The training focus will be on the following: · Designing · Measurement & Cutting · Stitching.

 

 They will be imparted training on to make different types of items/clothing for Children · Ladies · Men · Bag making · Files & folders for seminars/ workshops

 

Training will also enhance the capacity with respect to: · Marketing aspects of tailoring unit · Sampling and quality control · SHGs and cooperative of tailoring unit ·Management of SHGs, also some sessions to be conducted on social issues /right like the evil of dowry, child marriage, pardah etc

 


7. Expected Results.

 

30 women will be trained in tailoring in 3 months 


8. Innovation:

 

This project will definitely help the women to get economic development as well as regular employment.

 

9. Organizational Background:

 

We are running the tailoring Training Programme since 2014 and more than 200 women got training through our Trust.

 

We are having 10 sewing machines and 3 power machines to train the 30 women.

 

We have experienced Tailoring teacher to train the women.
